Dr. Ajay Rachakonda finished his residency in Internal Medicine at State University of New York, Buffalo, NY in 2008 and then went on to complete his fellowship in Nephrology at George Washington University in Washington DC in 2010. He worked as a Nephrologist in South Carolina and then he ventured west to sunny Southern California and enjoyed working there. He moved to Northern California in November 2017 to join San Joaquin Kidney Clinic.
Dr. Rachakonda obtained his Medical Degree from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India.
Dr. Rachakonda is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
Dr. Rachakonda is well versed in all aspects of kidney care including acute kidney injury, fluid and electrolyte imbalances, glomerular diseases, kidney stones and pre- and post-renal transplant care. He has a special interest in the Management of difficult to control Hypertension. Dr. Rachakonda also provides care to the people with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). As part of this he delivers care for patients on chronic dialysis, includes In-Center Hemodialysis, home therapies including peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis.
